Non-Conflict Minerals Policy
“Conflict Minerals” are metals, including of tantalum (Ta), tin (Sn), tungsten (W), cobalt (Co), palladium (Pd) and gold (Au), sourced from mines in Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) or adjoining countries’ conflict areas.
Many social and environmental problems, such as human right violations, and armed conflict, are caused through metal mining and trading of those metals.
We declare our non-conflict metal policy to demonstrate our dedication to corporate social responsibility.
Walter Machine’s Statement of “Non-Conflict Minerals”:
-
Walter Machine and its suppliers shall take social and environmental protection responsibilities.
-
Not to use “Conflict Minerals” from the Democratic Republic of Congo and adjoining countries’ conflict areas.
-
Suppliers shall ensure the material in all products do not come from the “conflict mining areas”.
